Questions from visitors

Do I need an account to play?

Nope. The Arcade's fifteen games are free and open to everyone, no account, no sign-up, no catch.

What is free?

Every game in the Arcade, plus a whole free lesson in each of the five departments: Nouns with Nelson, End Marks, Subject and Predicate, Specific Nouns, and Smile or Frown in Wonderful Words. They stay free forever, so you can see exactly how the town teaches before you decide anything.

I had an account from before. Where did it go?

Your classroom moved with you. Sign in here, claim your account, and your students, classes, and history carry right over.

What does a membership include?

Everything in all five departments, every grade from 1 through 8: the videos, the songs, the quizzes, and the full grammar and writing curriculum. The Arcade and the free lessons stay free either way.

How do classroom accounts work?

Set up a classroom, roster your students, and every seat opens at once. Schools on Clever can log in and roster in one step.

What grades is this for?

Grades 1 through 8. Every lesson meets kids at their own grade, so a first grader and an eighth grader can both learn from Nelson.
