Connie waited at the bend where two trails met on Nelson's Platypus Path. One group strolled up from the left one strolled up from the right. "Welcome, everybody! Two paths, I will join you into one walk!"
Maple wanted to look for ferns feathers. Bo wanted to count rocks, the path was full of them. "Wonderful," said Connie, clapping. "We can do both together, now we are one big group!"
Then a sleepy platypus waddled across the trail flopped down for a nap right in the middle. Everybody laughed stepped gently around it. Connie smiled at the joined-up group. "Now THAT is a walk with everybody on it!"
