It was Tuesday at the Noun Office, and the line stretched out the door, past the and down the block. Nelson sipped his . His platypus was chewing on under the chair, as usual.
The first visitor walked in carrying . Nelson squinted. "Proper noun," he said. "Capital letter. Got it. Next!"
The next visitor brought in . Nelson sighed. "Abstract. You can't touch it. File it under needs work."
Then a walked in. Nelson raised an eyebrow. "Compound noun," he said. "Two words stuck together. I see what you did there."
Someone else dumped a whole pile of on the desk. The platypus charged across the room. Papers flew everywhere. A rolled out of the filing cabinet and landed on Nelson's foot.
A visitor walked in carrying . "Another concrete one," Nelson said. "Files itself. Move along."
The door slammed open. It was . Nelson froze. "You. Of all people. Today?"
The visitor grinned. "Roger said you might want some help."
Nelson groaned. The platypus chased through the lobby and into the filing cabinet.
