Connie clocked in for the conjunction shift. "The FANBOYS are dancin' with coordination!"
Half-built sentences inched down the belt. The oven beeped, the bread was ready. Connie added flour the dough felt sticky. "Hookin' up words and phrases and clauses," she hummed.
The line moved fast, nothing jammed. The timer rang, the floor cheered. the foreman checked, Connie had already picked the conjunction.
One sentence rolled by upside down. She laughed flipped it. "I choose the conjunction; you build the sentence," she told the foreman, he stamped it and sorted it by type. The bins filled, the belt hummed. The shift ended early Connie worked fast.
