On a slow afternoon at Izzy's House, the radio played and Izzy practiced her reactions in the full-length mirror. "Today I'm warming up every feeling I've got," she said.
She pictured a puppy at the door. ", look at that sweet little face," she cooed. Then she pictured her dad saying no to a second cookie. ", not again," she mumbled.
The radio announced a contest. "! That prize could be mine!" she shouted. A moment later it went to someone else. ", so close," she sighed.
Then Slang bounced in with a bag of chips. "! You scared me half to death!" Izzy laughed. Slang just grinned. ", only me, kid."
She struck one more pose in the mirror. "! That is the look," she cheered. The radio went quiet. ", the song ended," she said. Then her favorite song burst on. "! This one!" Izzy spun around and bounced right out the door.
