Izzy sat on the bench on a quiet street, saving her voice. A leaf drifted down. ", pretty." A slow bus passed. ", there it goes." She rehearsed under her breath, "Let interjections fly! ...SSSHHHHH!!!" Then Roger's truck rolled toward a class of baby adjectives, the driver asleep. A gentle ", careful there," did nothing. A soft ", wake up," did nothing. So Izzy stood, saved it all for one, and let fly. "! Stop!" The truck halted. "! That was close!" gasped the class. ", everyone's okay." The babies cheered. "! Our hero!"
