Every spring, Grammaropolis held a fair. Nelson ran the name-tag booth. His job was simple. Everyone who walked up got a name.
The first kid held a . Nelson grabbed his pen. "Common noun. No capital letter. Next!"
Then a visitor said, "I'm from ." Nelson nodded. "Proper noun. Capital letter. A real place."
A waddled up to the booth. The platypus sat up fast. Nelson sighed and wrote the tag anyway.
Then cut the whole line. "That's a name," Nelson said. "Capital letter. Proper noun. Also rude."
A small kid tugged his sleeve. "What about a feeling, like ?" Nelson almost smiled. "Good one. You can't touch it. It still gets a name."
By noon the booth was buried in . The platypus chased under the tables. Nelson named one . He named two . He even named a sticky pile of .
